In the latest cryptocurrency news, the New Zealand Police has started investigating the latest hack of digital currency exchange called Cryptopia. According to the authorities, the process has been quite complex and, thus, they are keeping an “open mind” on all possibilities.
Just earlier this week, the cryptocurrency world was shocked following the hack involving the digital currency exchange Cryptopia. It reportedly suffered from a significant security breach, which gave hackers the opportunity to run away with around 19,390 Ethereum. Interestingly, Binance was successful in foiling the transaction coming from the hacker.
Binance is known to be among the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world. Interestingly, it has announced its intentions to increase its reach and spread to a total of eight different countries. And it is something that the company is looking to achieve by the end of 2019.
In an official blog post, Binance announced the conclusion of the BitTorrent token (BTT) on its Binance Launchpad on January 28. The ICO (Initial Coin Offering) raised $7.1 million through the sale of 59.8 billion BTT tokens. All tokens were sold out in less than 15 minutes.
