The desktop-based digital currency mining application call HoneyMiner is making a huge step in the crypto space. That is because it has just launched a new version specifically designed for its MacOS users. Here is everything about it in a nutshell.

Launching to MacOS

The application, which went live back in July last year, allows users to access either their CPU or GPU and, more importantly, makes use of it to mine a variety of cryptocurrencies. Basically, there is a central server that exists and points the connected machines at certain targets. This could include the likes of Zcash, Monero, Ethereum, and Ethereum Classic, as well as other GPU-friendly cryptos.

According to the company’s CEO and co-founder named Noah Jessop, the application boasts more than 1,400 different kinds of GPUs, all of which are available on their network. He adds that the process is all about routing the exact computation directly to a use case deemed to be optimal, as well as which chain offers the same quality.

Interestingly, the aforementioned digital currency mining app reportedly takes at least 2.5% of the proceeds for multi-GPU machines. As for the 8%, they are coming from single GPU users.

The Mac OS app, in particular, is designed in a way that it works similar to the Windows version. Upon launching the app, users can automatically obtain at least 1,000 satoshis – and all of them are free. Other users suggest that they were able to mine within a shorter period of time.

The Goal of HoneyMiner

Of course, it is not all moonlight and users. Users that prove to have more powerful machines have the biggest advantage. This is simply because they have the ability to significantly boost the mining pool.

The move will see HoneyMiner joining other apps like DesktopMining.net. The ranks also include the MultiMiner, which is more of an open source solution. HoneyMiner has the goal to make the overall process of mining on almost all types of machines much easier. And due to the public demand, the app was brought to MacOS.

Jessop further claims that the decision to launch on Windows has an essential reason. Basically, they believe that there are far more powerful GPUs, most of which are just sitting under people’s desks across the globe. Add to this the fact that more and more people are getting interested in minding cryptos. The executive also added that, as of this writing, their users cover at least 167.
