Promising Crowdloan Project Pushing The Limits Of DeFi

Altair, a DeFi project developed by Centrifuge, has opened its Altair Crowdloan on the Kusama parachain. Backed by prominent exchanges, such as Kraken and OKEx, the Altair Crowdloan allows KSM holders to contribute in three ways while offering returns and additional bonuses.

KSM holders can now stake their tokens in the Altair Crowdloan and earn AIR, the Altair Network token. Per the announcement, the earning rate is set at 400 AIR per KSM (400:1), locked for the complete parachain slot duration of 48 weeks. In addition, the first 250 participants will also be entitled to a 10% bonus on top of the usual reward.

Altair currently allows users to participate in the crowdloan through the official Altair website or via the Kusama portal. Moreover, cryptocurrency exchanges such as OKEx and Kraken allow account holders to directly contribute to the crowdfund through their platforms.

Participants can start claiming their rewards once the Altair launch process is complete. Of the total, 25% of rewards will be unlocked initially, while the remainder will be distributed throughout the slot. The AIR tokens can be claimed through Kraken and OKEx exchanges or directly on-chain on the Altair network.

With its promise of bridging Kusama, Polkadot, and Ethereum ecosystems, Altair has received support from several prominent leaders within the crypto and blockchain ecosystems, including VP of Growth for Acala and Karura Dan Reecer, Acala Co-Founder Bette Chen, and more.

Additionally, the Centrifuge chain is already used by enterprises to access deep DeFi liquidity. It has the highest TVL in the Polkadot ecosystem, which further ensures the value of the Altair project and the potential returns.

Launched just a couple of months ago, Altair promises to change the face of DeFi and offer risk-takers endless opportunities by utilizing Centrifuge’s blockchain-based technology for real-world asset (RWA) financing. Centrifuge chain helps users tokenize real-world and experimental assets and finance them.

Developed according to the Substrate framework for the Kusama network with the eventual goal of launching on a parachain, Centrifuge is designed to enable developers to experiment with new features before going live on the network. CFG, the network’s native token, also has a bridge to Ethereum, helping connected protocols and dApps access Ethereum’s vast pools of liquidity.
