The developer behind the Finney blockchain phone called Sirin Labs has partnered with MyEtherWallet. The team up is a huge step in the crypto space, as it plans to perform an integration aimed at benefiting both of the firms.

The Team Up Explained

According to the official report, the deal is going to feature Ethereum wallet-generating service being launched directly on the aforementioned phone’s built-in cold (offline) wallet. Users of the MyEtherWallet, on the other hand, will have the ability to purchase the mobile device via the wallet service’s very own web and app platforms.

Moreover, the firm is looking to use the deal as a means for all Finney users to easily access Ether (ETH) and, more importantly, control their very own private keys. The CEO of Sirin Labs named Zvika Landau claimed that the integration is generally a move toward a much greater “market share,” one that is going to be beneficial for both companies. This is simply due to the fact that both products are able to complement each other.

MyEtherWallet reportedly revealed the newly-found partnership via its official Twitter page.

As already detailed back in November last year, the Finney blockchain phone solely focuses on secure storage of the user’s digital currencies. It particularly offers a cold (offline) storage wallet, which, according to the developer, is effectively a second device strategically built inside the device’s housing.

Features of the Wallet Introduced

The wallet is even capable of providing separate processors, while users can gain the ability to interact with it through a second LCD screen. The latter, in particular, is believed to be the only place security seed phrases are allowed to be typed in.

The Finney is also specifically designed to make cryptocurrencies a lot easier to utilize. At the same time, it can effectively convert between varieties of tokens as deemed necessary by users, especially when trying to operate different apps. Apparently, though, this was kind of limited during the official launch token choice.

Sirin managed to update the device sometime this month, with the aim of providing support for all of its Ethereum ERC-20 tokens, including Dash and Litecoin. The phone is capable of running on Android’s modified version, which is called SirinOS. This one right here is designed in accordance with the blockchain functionality.

The device also comes with other features, including a certain physical switch for wallet security. It also comes with three-factor authentication and encrypted communications.
