When it comes to the NFT industry, most people will not look beyond the trading volume. But, unfortunately, that can leave many hidden gems undiscovered for longer periods. For example, Mythical Beings is a fascinating non-fungible token collection, and its overall figures are all on the rise lately.

Gauging The Current NFT Landscape

It is safe to say that non-fungible tokens are one of the most successful trends in the broader cryptocurrency industry. Numerous projects have sprung up in recent months, although their success rate varies a bit. That is only normal, as no two projects are the same, and very few of them cater to the same group of users. NFTs Represent tremendous market potential, assuming their creators come up with innovative reasons to buy them.

For some projects, the approach by its creators has resulted in significant sales volumes. Per NonFungible, there are now three projects with over $120 million in all-time sales volume. That may seem insignificant, yet it confirms there is an overall interest in these projects even after the initial excitement wears off. The number of sales differs greatly, though certain NFTs have a much higher average value than others.

Further down the rankings, over a dozen projects have over $5 million in all-time sales volume. Again, there is much room for improvement here, although the current pace seems more than acceptable. That means there are opportunities for new projects to make an immediate impact, assuming their creators have a long-term plan. Mythical Beings is one such long-term project that people are finding out about just now.

Mythical Beings Gains Momentum

The gamification aspect of non-fungible tokens cannot be underestimated. More specifically, a project like Mythical Beings offers a collection of mythological creatures that rotate throughout seasons. As the creations belong to cultures across the five continents, there are many options to explore and much to learn. Creating an artistic, educational, and collectibles collection highlights the potential of non-fungible token technology.

As its first season is currently underway, interested parties have until October 1, 2021, to complete their collection. There are good incentives to do so, including having a chance of obtaining the Occitan dragon Tarasca, of which only 250 copies exist. Furthermore, completed sets will make users eligible for a share of half of the smart contract income distributed to users every three days. However, season 1 is exclusive, as users need an invite to buy cards, and invites are limited.

The exclusivity aspect of Mythical Beings has generated over 8.300 smart contract sales and 2.074 secondary market sales so far. A good start for a relatively new NFT project. Moreover, the secondary market sales are picking up, indicating an interest in obtaining new cards to complete the collection.

The current metrics indicate that Mythical Beings is one of the more active NFT projects in the industry. It is not indexed by the primary data aggregators yet, as it does not use Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain as its native blockchain. Instead, the team opted for the Ardor blockchain, which has gained some momentum in real-world use cases over the past few years. When other blockchains gain traction in the non-fungible tokens space, exciting things are bound to happen.
