LINQ Capital – Advantages

There are no advantages to trading with LINQ Capital.

LINQ Capital – Disadvantages

LINQ Capital is not safe to do business with. Here are all the red flags that prove they are scammers:

  • Lack of Regulation

The first issue we have with this broker is their lack of regulation. LINQ Capital claims to be based in the UK; the broker provides us with an address in Richardschester. A UK-based telephone number is also provided. Other information such as the broker’s company name and regulation/license details are all missing.

Here are all the issues with this information. First of all, the address provided by LINQ Capital is fake. There is no town by the name of Richardschester in the UK. Additionally, no legitimate broker would omit their company name or their regulation information.

To be able to legally operate in the UK, a broker should be registered with and authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority, which is the country’s regulatory body for the financial services industry. We checked the FCA’s registers and there is no broker or company by the name of LINQ Capital listed with the authority. And as there is no other registration or regulation information provided, we can confidently state that this broker is not regulated at all. And only scam brokers would operate without proper authorization.

  • Flagged off by Financial Authorities

LINQ Capital has been flagged off by not one but two financial authorities in Europe – the CNMV and the BaFin.

The CNMV (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores) is the Spanish financial authority, and according to their warning, this broker has been operating in their jurisdiction without the regulator’s permission. The Spanish authority also states that this broker is involved in fraudulent activities.

The BaFin (Federal Financial Supervisory Authority) of Germany has been even more explicit in their warning. The regulator has exposed this broker’s fake address and has clearly stated that this broker is a scammer.

When one financial authority issues a warning against a broker, it is bad enough. But when two financial authorities flag off a broker, then it is more than enough proof that the broker is not safe and a scammer.

  • Poor Trading Platform

LINQ Capital claims that their trading terminal is modern and that it is designed to provide their clients with a user-friendly and efficient platform on which their can manage their trades. The broker also claims that their trading terminal offers a wide range of features for trading.

These claims are all lies. When we accessed LINQ Capital’s terminal, we found out that it was just a basic, web-based trading terminal. One that barely has any functionality – something that would only fool novice traders who do not know what a trading platform should look like or offer.

The trading terminal is a broker’s mainstay, so legitimate brokers ensure that it is of the best quality. When a broker compromises on their key product, you know that that broker is not trustworthy.

  • Issues with Trading Conditions

Another red flag that reveals this broker’s perfidy is their skewed set trading conditions.

While the minimum deposit is within (barely) industry limits, there are many other brokers that have much lower thresholds. The lack of complete information on their higher-end accounts when it comes to the cost of a trade is also another issue (only spreads are mentioned; commissions are missing).

And the leverage of a maximum of 1:1000 is a dead giveaway of this broker’s scam. No broker in Europe or the UK can offer such high leverage ratios – they are banned. The governments in the UK and the EU have placed stringent limits on the leverage ratios. Brokers cannot offer their clients more than 1:30 in leverage to their clients. So, the massive leverages this broker offers are clearly illegal!

  • Issues with Payments

On their website, the broker claims to offer a wide range of payment methods – bank transfers, credit cards, e-wallets, cryptos and so on. However, when we checked LINQ Capital’s payments section, there was an entirely different set of payment options mentioned – Visa/MasterCard for Unico, Squad and BT, YooMoney, BT Japan wire and various cryptocurrency wallets.

The discrepancy is just another indicator that this broker cannot be trusted.

  • Issues with Withdrawals

We do not know anything about how the withdrawal process works with this broker, which is just another sign that they cannot be trusted.

Conclusion

LINQ Capital is not a broker that is safe or trustworthy. This broker is a scammer and best avoided.
