Tennessee Legislation Prevents Retirement Funds from Investing in Cryptos

Two bills that were identical were put forward for legislation in Tennessee to prevent retirement funds from making investments in cryptocurrencies.

Furthermore, two more bills were put forward to legalize the use of blockchain technology for electronic transactions.

South Korean Crypto Exchange to Supply Kiosks to Restaurants

Despite the South Korean government’s reservations about cryptocurrencies, growth and innovation continues to take place. The country’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Bithumb has announced that it plans to place crypto kiosks in restaurants and cafes, which would give customers the option of paying for their food and drinks using their Bithumb cryptocurrency holdings.

The kiosk is to be called Touch B and is the result of a partnership between Bithumb and kiosk makers Unos Space, IYU and Tros Systems. Read the full story here.

Co-founder of Ethereum Gives Blockchain Scaling Solution That Could Prevent Hacking of Exchanges

Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum presented a scaling solution for blockchain called “Plasma Cash” during a live-streamed talk in Paris at the Ethereum Conference.

Plasma is a system of smart contracts which is trying to increase the computational ability of the Ethereum blockchain. This system was created by Buterin as well as Joseph Poon, the creator of the Bitcoin Lightening Network, and could have a number of important uses, including being able to protect crypto exchanges from getting hacked.

Ethereum Price Analysis: Mar 11

Ethereum also saw a slight slide this weekend, with the altcoin’s price slipping by 1.82% to $716.41. Trading volume further dropped to $1.54 billion from yesterday. Ethereum’s market value also declined further to $70.18 billion.
