Fin Art Media – Advantages

There are no advantages to trading with Fin Art Media.

Fin Art Media – Disadvantages

Here is the list of disadvantages that tell us that Fin Art Media cannot be trusted:

  • Lack of Regulation

On the footer of their website, Fin Art Media claims that they are owned and operated by Cycle Core Inc (registration number: 114970), registered in the Marshall Islands. There are also two phone numbers provided, one of which looks like a UK number. There is no further information anywhere else on this broker’s website about their regulation status – not even in their legal documents.

With this little bit of information, we can immediately see the red flags. Being registered in the Marshall Islands means absolutely nothing. This jurisdiction does not even have a financial regulator in place for forex and CFD brokers. So, for a broker to operate legally anywhere, they need a regulation from the country (or countries) they are targeting, in Fin Art Media’s case, this would be the UK, Russian and Poland.

Another issue we have with companies registered in the Marshall Islands is the possible anonymity of that company. You do not even have to have a physical presence in this country to register a company there. Which means that you could be located anywhere in the world and you could incorporate a company in the Marshall Islands. Unfortunately, this is the reason why this destination is so popular with so many forex scammers.

Now, considering the fact that this broker is not registered with any other financial regulator (we checked the online registers of the UK’s FCA, the Polish KNF and the Russian Central Bank), we can say for certain that this broker is operating illegally, which makes Fin Art Media a scammer.

  • Unable to Register

The next red flag that tells us that we are dealing with a scammer is the fact that we were unable to register – despite trying many times. We were able to complete the first step of the signing up process, however, after that, when we tried to submit our registration request, we were given a vague error message: something went wrong.

This could mean one of two things – either there was a genuine technical error, or this is a tactic to keep out those who would spot their scam. Scammers target novices who don’t know what to expect. So, when a beginner is unable to sign up, they will contact the broker and that is when the broker targets them and tries to get them to part with their money.

  • Unconfirmed Software

The one product that brokers offer is their trading software, so it is where they focus on, making sure it is the best there is (we can tell you that it is the MT5 software!).

With Fin Art Media, we did see that they are offering a trading software, both in the desktop version as well as the web-based version, but we were unable to access either.

We could not access the web-based version because we could not register for an account. And we were unwilling to download the desktop version because we got a warning message of it being infected with a malware.

Thus, we really have no idea about the kind of WebTrader software Fin Art Media offers and whether it is worth it at all.

  • Issues with Trading Conditions

Another sign of Fin Art Media’s scam is the lack of clarity on their trading conditions. We do not know what the minimum funding amount is. This is a basic piece of information.

And we do not know what the spreads are either. As for the leverage ratios, at 1:400, they are much too high. High leverage means high risk, and it is when traders use such types of leverage that they can end up going bankrupt. Which is why most strongly regulated jurisdictions (such as the UK and the EU, both of which this broker seems to be targeting) have placed limits on how much is allowable – which is a maximum of 1:30. So, the kind of leverage that Fin Art Media is offering is illegal – typical of scammers!

We also do not know the other costs – fees, commissions and so on. And we also do not know anything about the other trading conditions – margin calls, order execution methods and so on.

  • Incomplete Information on Payments

On their website, Fin Art Media states that they offer 3 payment options – credit cards, debit cards and wire transfers. Since we were unable to register for an account, there was no way to verify the truth of these assertions.

The broker also states that they do not charge anything for withdrawals via credit cards. They do not mention whether there are any charges for withdrawals using debit cards or wire transfers.

Then, there is the statement in their Terms and Conditions section, where the broker states that all withdrawals will be processed within the first 30 days of your account being opened. Which means that you will never really get a chance to withdraw your funds at all!

Conclusion

Sadly, Fin Art Media is just another shoddy scammer that cannot be trusted.
