ImperialCapitals – Advantages

There are no advantages to trading with ImperialCapitals.

ImperialCapitals – Disadvantages

Here are all the disadvantages of doing business with this broker:

  • Unregulated Broker

ImperialCapitals states that it is owned and operated by Inter Media Ltd, a company that is based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The broker also claims to have offices in the UK and in Denmark, but there is no mention of it being licensed in either of these two countries.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines does not offer licenses to forex and CFD brokers because the jurisdiction does not have a framework in place to regulate such entities. This means that this offshore broker does not any valid license from any financial authority. Therefore, if you trade with ImperialCapitals, you will be dealing with an unregulated broker that is operating without any legal authorization.

Doing business with an unregulated broker is a sure way to lose your money. This is because such brokers are not constrained by laws that protect traders. You will not get negative balance protection, or the benefit of account segregation. You will also not get compensation for losses you suffer in case your broker goes bacnkrupt or is found to be indulging in fraudulent activities.

  • Confusion about ImperialCapitals Identity

Even though ImperialCapitals claims to be owned by a Inter Media Ltd, when you go to this broker’s Terms and Conditions section, there are multiple companies named. In one part, PRP Technologies Ltd is mentioned. Another part refers to another company called Light Media Ltd. And yet another segment mentions West Media Group.

The problem is that the broker does not specify what its relationship to these companies. At the end of the day, we do not know for certain who really runs this brokerage, or even which company represents it.

  • Unable to Access MT4 Platform

ImperialCapitals claims to offer its clients support for the MetaTrader 4 platform. The MT4 platform is one of the best trading platforms in the world. It offers a range of tools that make trading so much easier. You get multiple charting and market analysis options, algorithms for automatic trading and many other features.

Unfortunately, we were unable to access the trading platform at all. When we tried to download the software, we kept getting an error message. Therefore we were unable to proceed any further.

  • No Trading Conditions

There is absolutely no information on ImperialCapitals’ website with regard to its trading conditions. If you contract with this broker, you will have to deposit your funds before you will be given any information on the cost of trading with this broker.

This is not something that a legitimate broker would ever do. Regulated brokers clearly spell out the leverages they offer, as well as the spreads and other costs you would have to bear to trade with them.

  • Bitcoin Only Payment Option

On its website, ImperialCapitals displays the logos of both Visa and MasterCard, giving the impression that it supports both these payment methods.

However, when we tried making a payment in the client area, we found out that there is only way method for making payments. The only way you can make deposits is via Bitcoin and that too by using cryptopaytech.com

And to make a deposit using this platform, you need to have a cryptocurrency wallet, which means that you will be required to register on cryptopaytech.com. And then you will need to buy Bitcoins so that you can deposit money with ImperialCapitals.

This is massive red flag. Bitcoin payments are permanent and anonymous. So, if you carry out a transaction using Bitcoin, there is no way you will be able to reverse that payment. Plus, you will not know who took your money.

Offering only crypto payments as the only option is a tactic popularly employed by scammers.

This is the reason why we would recommend to all traders that they use credit cards to make their first deposits. Credit card companies allow their customers to file for chargebacks with 540 days of carried out a transaction. This means that if you feel you have been scammed by a broker, you still have a chance to get your money back.

  • Trading Bonuses Offered

ImperialCapitals offers its clients trading bonuses. The first thing you need to know is that trading bonuses have been banned in the UK, Europe and many other jurisdictions around the world.

This is because such bonuses come attached with very unfair conditions. Traders are required to meet trading turnover targets that are so unfairly high that the majority of traders will never meet those targets. And if they do not meet that target, the broker uses it as an excuse to deny withdrawal requests.

Furthermore, these brokers include conditions that allow them to change their bonus policies at any time – without having to give notice to their clients. So, if the broker sees that a client is about to reach their trading volume target, they change their policies.

Conclusion

ImperialCapitals is not a broker that you should trust. The broker’s identity is a question mark and it is not regulated in any jurisdiction. There are no trading conditions mentioned and there is a distinct lack of information about its terms and conditions.

We would not recommend this broker to any of our readers.
