InvestFeed – Disadvantages
Despite the fact that InvestFeed offers its clients the use of the MT4 trading platform, we would not recommend this broker to any trader. Here are the reasons why:
-
Unregulated Broker
InvestFeed claims that its parent company is Lengvin Partners Ltd, a company that is registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). This means that this broker is not regulated; SVG’s Financial Services Authority has explicitly stated that it does not have regulations in place to monitor Forex and CFD service providers.
And since there is no other mention of a license from any other financial authority, we can safely state that this broker is offering its services illegally in Europe.
Dealing with a broker that is offering its services without authorization is a sure way to lose money, which is why we recommend that traders always check the regulation status of a broker before they do business with them.

-
Unfair Bonus Policy
Bonuses, also called non-deposited funds, are generally banned in Europe, which is where this broker seems to be targeting its services. Therefore, the fact that InvestFeed offers its clients bonuses is the first red mark against it.
To top it off, the bonus policy that the broker has adopted is patently unfair. For a trader to be able to withdraw their funds, they will have to first trade 25 times the amount they have deposited, plus the bonus amount.
-
High Spreads
While there was no information provided on InvestFeed’s website about the spreads it offered, we did check the broker’s demo account to get that information. The EURUSD pair’s spreads were at 1.9 pips, which is rather high, considering that the market average ranges from 1 to 1.5 pips.
It is wise to remember that the higher the spread, the higher your cost of trading will be. So, a high spread such as the one offered by this broker means that your trades are going to be most costly.
-
High Leverage
Once again, we had to depend on the information on InvestFeed’s demo account. Based on what we saw, the maximum leverage offered by this broker is 1:500, which is extremely high – and illegal (considering that this broker is targeting customers in Europe). Let us explain further.
Leverage is a tool you can use to open a larger position, and thereby get the chance to gain a larger profit. However, considering the volatility inherent in forex markets, 70% of traders lost money on the market. Which means that opening bigger isn’t always a good idea.
Due to this, European, UK and US regulators put a cap on how much leverage brokers could offer their clients. For the UK, the maximum leverage stands at 1:40. For European traders, the maximum leverage they can get is 1:30. There are only a few jurisdictions (such as Australia) that allow such high leverages.
And since we know that InvestFeed is offering its services to clients in Europe, the leverage levels this broker offers are too high and against the law.
-
Long Payment Processing Times
Whether you’re making a deposit or a withdrawal, you will need to wait for your payments to be processed. If you make a deposit, you will need to wait as much as 5 business days for your funds to be credited to your trading account. And if you make a withdrawal request, it can take up to 7 business days.
Considering the fact that many regulated brokers can process deposits almost instantly and withdrawals within 24 hours (if not sooner), these wait times are just too much.
-
High Dormancy Fees
If you have not used your account with InvestFeed for a period of 6 months or more, then it is considered a dormant account and you will be charged a dormancy fee. Usually, brokers charge a nominal sum to maintain your account.
However, with this broker, you will be charged 10% of the amount in your account every month. That could end up becoming quite and expensive proposition for you.
Conclusion
InvestFeed is unregulated and has unfair trading conditions and policies – terms that are designed to extract money from the customers. This is not a broker that you should trust in any way, so our recommendation would be to stay far away from the broker.
Do not trade with unregulated brokers that will steal your funds - try these regulated brokers:
