Investing Capitals – Disadvantages

Listed here are all the red flags that tell us that Investing Capitals is a scammer:

  • Lack of Regulation

Investing Capitals’ first issue is that they are unregulated. Here is how we know.

This broker claims to be based in the UK – we make this assumption because they provide us with a UK number. However, we found out that this broker is actually an offshore entity based in the Marshall Islands. Furthermore, we do not know the name of the company that runs this brokerage and neither do they give us any licensing information. So, Investing Capitals is more or less anonymous.

Legitimate brokers, ensure that all their corporate and licensing details are complete. We know the name of the company that operates their website, we have their location and contact details, we know the name of the financial regulator that has given them the license to operate their business and so on.

To give the broker the benefit of the doubt, we checked the FCA’s register. The FCA, or the Financial Conduct Authority, is the UK’s financial regulator. Checking the Marshall Islands’ registers is a waste of time, since this jurisdiction does not provide regulatory oversight to forex brokers. Therefore, if a broker is based in this offshore location, they need to be regulated by another authority.

Our investigation revealed that Investing Capitals is not regulated by the FCA and is therefore a scammer since they are operating illegally.

  • Blacklisted by FCA

The FCA also has noticed that Investing Capitals is operating illegally. The regulator has issued a warning against this broker and has warned all traders in the UK to stay away from them as they are scammers.

The regulator also has stated that Investing Capitals is a clone firm – an illegal entity that has stolen another legitimate firm’s credentials and has passed them off as their own in order to scam people.

A clone firm is the worst kind of scammer.

  • Poor Trading Platform

Another red flag is this broker’s trading platform. One of the two offerings by a broker is their trading platform. Therefore, legitimate brokers ensure that they offer their clients the best platform in the market for trading.

Scam brokers like Investing Capitals, on the other hand, skimp on their trading platform. This broker offers their clients a very basic trading platform, one that barely functions; traders will not be able to anything more than buy and sell some assets on this platform.

The lack of a quality trading platform clearly tells us that we are dealing with a scammer.

  • Issues with Trading Conditions

The second offering that a broker has is their trading conditions. The trading platform combined with competitive trading conditions is what a broker offers to their clients.

So, if either one is an issue, then it is a warning to traders that things are not right with that broker.

We have already established that Investing Capitals’ trading platform is of the worst quality. The second red flag is their trading conditions.

The minimum deposits are expensive; while the basic account asks for just $250 as the minimum deposit, the next level jumps up massively to $3,000 and the highest account type requires a deposit of $1 million!

The spreads are not specified and the leverage ratios are rather skewed. Spreads are mentioned in pips and the negative percentages used by this broker make no sense.

So, while the account types page looks very detailed, the reality is that most of the important information about this broker’s trading conditions are actually missing.

  • Issues with Payments

Investing Capitals claims to offer multiple payment methods, however, when we checked their payments section, we found out that there were only two ways in which you can make payments – credit cards or cryptocurrencies.

The withdrawal conditions are not very fair either. The withdrawal processing time for the basic account is up to 48 hours and you have to pay a massive 10% withdrawal fee. The broker does not specify if there are any conditions to withdrawals, so once again, we have incomplete information.

Conclusion

Investing Capitals is not a trustworthy broker – they are a scam.
