KesslerKoch – Advantages

There are no advantages to trading with KesslerKoch.

KesslerKoch – Disadvantages

Given here are all the disadvantages that tell us that we are dealing with a scammer:

  • Lack of Regulation

The first thing we check for when reviewing a new broker is their regulation status. This tells us if the broker is operating within the bounds of the law or not. To find out a broker’s regulation status, we need their corporate details.

The corporate details include the name of the company that runs that brokerage, their contact information and, most importantly, their regulation details.

With KesslerKoch, we are told (on the footer of their website) that this broker is based in Zurich, Switzerland. There is also a Swiss phone number provided on this broker’s Support Page. However, nowhere on their website does KesslerKoch tell us about their company’s name or their regulation status. We do not know which authority has given them a license to operate and neither do we know the real name of the company that runs their operations. These are red flags that tell us that things are not right with this broker.

However, to be sure, we decided to check the FINMA’s online databases. The FINMA, or, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, is the body that oversees all forex brokers in Switzerland. So, all brokers that are operating legally in the country will be listed with this regulator. We did not find any listing of KesslerKoch with the FINMA, and this means that this broker is not regulated by the authority and is operating illegally in their country.

When a broker operates illegally, you know that you are dealing with a scammer.

  • Flagged Off by BaFin

The BaFin, or the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (translated), is the German financial regulator. This authority has flagged off KesslerKoch for operating without a license in Germany.

Forex brokers are allowed to operate in all EU member nations if they are authorized by any member nation’s financial regulator. So, if a broker is authorized in Switzerland, they may operate legally in any other EU country (in this case, Germany).

Unfortunately, in this case, this broker has been flagged off by the German regulator, which means that the broker is not regulated at all.

Being flagged off by a regulator is clear proof of a broker being a scammer.

  • Issues with Trading Platform

KesslerKoch’s lack of regulation is not their only problem. The broker promises the clients a great trading experience on their trading platform. The broker states that they offer state-of-the-art trading platforms – note the plural. Which means this broker has more than one trading platform to offer their clients. The broker also claims that their platforms have professional-grade trading tools and resources.

Unfortunately, all these claims are just more lies.

While the registration process was simple and straightforward, the trading platform we saw was well below expectations. There is only one trading platform, and it is a shoddy, web-based software that offers hardly any functionality at all. This is the kind of trading platform that we have seen being used by many other scammers.

When a broker provides a low-quality trading platform, you know that you are dealing with a scammer.

  • Issues with Trading Conditions

Another sign of a scammer is poor trading conditions. And KesslerKoch’s trading conditions are really skewed.

We have a minimum deposit requirement of $5,000. To put this in perspective, industry averages are from $100 to $250, and there are a growing population of brokers that require you to deposit as little as $50 for a new account.

The spreads are seemingly advantageous, starting from 1.5 pips (which is just within industry standards). However, the broker does not tell us the total cost of a trade; we do not know much commissions this broker charges.

And the leverage ratios of a maximum of 1:400 is clearly a red flag. Leverage ratios are not allowed to exceed 1:30 in all EU nations. This is the law. Therefore, when a broker offers you a maximum leverage many times more than that amount, you know you are dealing with a scammer.

Other trading conditions are simply not mentioned at all.

All of this tells us that we are dealing with a sub-standard scammer.

  • Single Payment Method

The only way to make payments is by credit cards. When a broker offers only a single payment method, then it is a sign that that broker is not considering what their customers need/want.

  • Issues with Withdrawal Policy

KesslerKoch does not even tell us what their withdrawal policy is. We do not know about the fee structure for withdrawals, how long a withdrawal request takes, if there are trading turnover targets to be met and so on.

The lack of this information means that the broker can make up policies and prevent customers from being able to withdraw their funds. That is how their scam works.

Conclusion

KesslerKoch is a scammer that has been flagged off as one. This broker cannot be trusted.
