While the broker does not specify other trading conditions on their Account Types page, we found out that Smart Epargne offers a spread start from 0.4 pips. However, when we do not know the commissions, we do not know the actual cost of a trade with this broker.

Smart Epargne – Advantages

There are no advantages to trading with Smart Epargne.

Smart Epargne – Disadvantages

Here is a list of all the disadvantages that tell us that Smart Epargne is not a broker to be trusted:

  • Unregulated Entity:

The first thing that tell us that this broker is a scammer is their lack of regulation.

On their website, the broker claims to be propulsed by CAIAC int Ltd. We do not know what that means. The broker does not give us any other information. We do not know where this broker is located, how to contact them (except through the Contact Us form on their website) or even which authority has licensed them.

This anonymity is a clear indication of scamming. No regulated broker would omit this information from their website. All legitimate brokers ensure that their corporate and regulation information is clearly presented on their websites.

The company was created as a combined effort of financial professionals and experts in web-commerce with the goal of perfecting the online experience for retail traders.

  • Blacklisted by AMF

Another clear indicator of Smart Epargne’s scam is the warning issued by the AMF. The AMF, or the Autorité des Marchés Financiers, is the French financial regulator. The regulator has identified this broker as a scammer, announcing on their website that Smart Epargne is operating illegally in their country. The authority has also stated that this broker is misleading traders with their claims and cannot be trusted.

This warning clearly tells us that we are dealing with a scammer.

  • No Terms and Conditions

Another red flag is that this broker has no Terms and Conditions in their Legal page. We have the KYC, Disclaimer and Privacy documents, but no terms of service. The Terms and Conditions is the broker’s contract with their customer, so if it is missing, it means that the broker is hiding their terms from you.

A lack of terms of service is clear indication that we are dealing with a scammer.

  • Poor Trading Platform

Smart Epargne offers their clients a poorly designed, simplistic trading platform. Such a poor-quality platform clearly indicates that we are dealing with a scammer. No legitimate broker would offer their clients sub-standard trading platforms since it is their only product offering.

  • Issues with Trading Conditions

Smart Epargne’s trading conditions also give away their scam. No broker offers a zero-deposit account opening. And the rest of the trading accounts require massive deposits. Added to that, the leverages are dangerously high and illegal. Other trading conditions are completely missing.

When a broker hides such critical information, we know we cannot trust them.

  • Issues with Payments

While the broker claims to offer multiple payment options, we are not sure how many of them work. Other e-payment systems are also suspect since they are not the well-known ones and look rather suspicious.

  • Issues with Withdrawals

We once again have incomplete information here. We know there is a $30 tax on withdrawals and that you have a minimum withdrawal limit of $300 for bank wires (but this broker does not have a bank wire as a payment option!). These contradictions tell us this broker is scamming us.

Conclusion

Smart Epargne is unfortunately yet another scam operation and so cannot be trusted at all. All traders should stay away from this entity.
