BIBF Launching First Blockchain Academy in Bahrain

BIBF (Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance) announced that it is launching the country’s first ever Blockchain Academy. Established in 1981, BIBF is an unregistered not for profit, semi-government institution which provides its students training focused on the financial sector.

According to BIBF, the Blockchain Academy will be the first professional qualification student program offering in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Upon completion of this program, students will be awarded the qualification of Certified Blockchain Professional C | BP. This is an international level certification program developed by BIBF and MyLearning Key, a Dubai based firm.

XRP Nearing Longest Stretch as World’s No. 2 Crypto

XRP (Ripple) has now held its ranking as the world’s second most valuation cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization for 11 days. This is the longest period that the altcoin has stayed at the number two spot since 2016. In 2016, XRP stayed at second position from January 26 to February 8, before giving way to Ethereum’s Ether (ETH).

On November 15, the market cap of XRP went up to $19.39 billion, overtaking ETH as the second most valuable crypto in the world. Since then, the altcoin has kept its position.

Lingham: BTC Will Stay Range-Bound for 3 – 6 Months

The Chief Executive Officer of the identity management startup Civic, Vinny Lingham stated in an interview with CNBC that the price of Bitcoin (BTC) will remain range-bound for the next three to six months.

While on CNBC’s Fast Money, Lingham said that BTC would continue to trade within the $3k to $5k mark for the next few months, however, he doubted that the cryptocurrency would fall below the $3000 mark since that was the point at which a lot of buying would take place.

Total Market Cap: Nov 27

After yesterday’s gains, the cryptocurrency market is once again in the red. The capitalization of the market once again dropped to $125.18 billion and trading volumes are now at $18.81 billion.

Bitcoin Price Analysis: Nov 27

Bitcoin’s price is still below the $4k mark and is currently trading at $3823.74, which is a 5.70% drop since yesterday. Its market capitalization is now $66.51 billion and trading volumes are at $6.57 billion.

Ethereum Price Analysis: Nov 27

Ethereum has fallen another 6.95% to trade at a token price of $108.07. The altcoin’s worth has now dropped to $11.18 billion and it is trading at volumes of $2.19 billion.

State of the Top 10 Cryptocurrencies: Nov 27

The cryptocurrency top ten list has a surprise new entrant at 7th place – the new Bitcoin SV, created by the fork in the BCH network a couple of weeks ago. The crypto has jumped a massive 14.54% to take that position. BCH is also up by 2.19%. The rest of the cryptos in the top ten list are, however, in the red. The biggest losses have been experienced by Stellar, which is down 9.42%, followed by Cardano, down by 7.31% and Ethereum, which has lost 6.95%.

  • EOS’s trading at $3.17, falling 6.15%. The digital coin’s worth is $2.87 billion.
  • Stellar’s trading at $0.144046, falling 9.42%. The digital coin’s worth is $2.75 billion.
  • Bitcoin SV’s trading at $112.62, skyrocketing 14.54%. The digital coin’s worth is $1.96 billion.
  • Tether’s trading at $0.974993, falling 0.91%. The digital coin’s worth is $1.80 billion.
  • Litecoin’s trading at $30.02, falling 5.27%. The digital coin’s worth is $1.78 billion.
  • Cardano’s trading at $0.035823, falling 7.31%. The digital coin’s worth is $928.79 million.
